Steve Olson and I scored a bunch
of published work from these sessions back
in late 1979 using the Santa Cruz Street
Skate. I really liked this shot and I bet
that Steve hates his facial expression. I
guess he couldn't help the way he looks
while he skates, but I still like the shot.
It was a time when the industry was trying
to expand the scene back into the street
and not so much focus on the parks. Now it
seems like it is the other way around, well
at least with what some of us old schoolers
want now.
